Apart from the obvious advantage of having a plot of land of your own to grow fresh fruit and vegetables (that taste better) or a regular supply of flowers, having an allotment is also a good way to get exercise, fresh air and to socialise with like-minded people.
If you are interested in taking a plot, and you are a resident in the parish, please contact the parish council office by phone or email: clerk@greatmissendenpc.co.uk with the following information: name, address, telephone number(s), email address and which allotment site(s) you are interested in. We usually have a few plots available, if not we would be happy to add you to a waiting list.
There is an initial deposit of £50; the rents vary according to size of plot (between £18 and £30 per year) and are reviewed annually.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Our Parish has five allotment sites:
1. Potter Row, South Heath, Ballinger
2. Chequers Lane, Prestwood
3. Nairdwood Lane, Prestwood
4. Greenlands Lane, Prestwood
5. Spurlands End Road, Heath End
6. Ballinger
