In order to improve public amenities, the parish council have arranged for the rubber surfacing at the Gryms Dyke play area on Prestwood Recreation Ground to be removed and replaced. The original surfacing has been in place for nearly 15 years and has had numerous repairs over this time. The current rubber surface will be dug up first and this will begin on Monday 21st March, and then preparation for the new surface can begin. It is hoped that the new rubber surfacing can start to be installed from Monday 28th March and take about a week to complete, and then and a couple of days to dry.
Unfortunately this will mean that the play area is out of action from Monday 21st March – Monday 4th April (weather conditions permitting). The parish council would like to thank you for your patience whilst these works are carried out.
