You are almost bound to know of the local community newspaper, The Source, since this is delivered throughout the parish. Should you by any chance have missed out, you can contact the on http://www.hp16.org.uk or by phoning 01494 862257.
To Quote from their website: “We have over 100 people involved in each issue… and the cost of around £1000 per issue is met by advertising, membership, sponsorship, grants, donations…. so that the paper can be free to you, the community of HP16 – whether you live here, have family here, work here, or simply have an interest in the area. In terms of our organisation, we currently have two directors: Colin Veysey – who was involved at the conception of the project with HP16 Community Vision. He is the chairman of the PACT local volunteer driver scheme, and of the local Churches Together group. He is also the Minister of the King’s Church, Prestwood. Anthony Sykes – who has worked extensively in the commercial advertising world and runs a successful local Bed and Breakfast.”
Your Parish Council is one of the bodies that give grants to the paper.
